Ninjago: Choose Your Ninja Mission

Ninjago: Choose Your Ninja Mission is a fascinatingly unusual piece of merchandise. Rather than a traditional brick-building set, this 2020 release is a story book package that includes a modest selection of parts and an exclusive minifigure to anchor the reading experience.

This set is perfect for young Ninjago fans and completionist minifigure collectors. Because it only contains 9 pieces, the primary appeal here is the included Jay minifigure with his Pearl Dark Gray Shoulder Cover, making it an affordable entry point for character collectors rather than builders.

Skip this if you are looking for a traditional LEGO construction experience. With a tiny piece count consisting mostly of gold weapons and accessories, standard brick builders will want to pass this by in favor of actual Ninjago mech or vehicle sets.
