📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Scarox is a venomous arachnid masterpiece from the classic Hero Factory Brain Attack era. With its striking color palette and aggressive limb posing, this $9.99 impulse buy delivers way more personality than its modest piece count suggests.

This set is perfect for nostalgic constraction fans and kids looking for fast, ferocious action play. The 46 pieces snap together in minutes, giving you a highly articulated spider beast ready to pounce on any Hero Factory team member.

Skip this if you are looking for traditional LEGO system building or complex brick construction. As a specialized action figure set, its parts are heavily specialized and offer limited crossover for standard MOCs.

Try asking:

What makes Scarox different from other Hero Factory Brain Attack villains? Can the brain element be attached to other LEGO figures? Why has the secondary market price risen so much for such a small set? Are the ball-and-socket joints prone to cracking on older Hero Factory sets?

⏳ Retired

As a retired 2013 Villains subtheme set, Scarox has seen a significant bump on the secondary market, currently commanding around $70 compared to its original $9.99 MSRP. Constraction sets in sealed condition have grown quite collectible as LEGO has largely moved away from the Hero Factory and BIONICLE formats. While the return on investment percentage looks impressive, finding buyers at the peak secondary price can take patience due to niche demand. Opened and complete sets generally trade for much less, so sealed collectors will see the best appreciation potential here.
