Maleficent's Dragon Form (43240) presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a Disney-themed set, it benefits from the enduring popularity of the franchise. The set's piece count and unique dragon figure contribute to its collectibility. However, its relatively low price point and availability may limit its potential for significant appreciation. Investors should monitor its retirement status and demand in the secondary market.

Compared to other Disney Princess sets, Maleficent's Dragon Form offers a unique villain-centric build. While sets like Cinderella's Castle (43206-1) focus on the princesses themselves, this set provides a darker, more dynamic alternative.
