LEGO made five advent calendars for 2026: Star Wars, Marvel, City, Friends and Disney Princess.
Pick the franchise the person already loves, and if they are five, pick City or Disney Princess, the only two rated 5+.
Harry Potter and Minecraft, both in the 2025 lineup, did not get a calendar this year. Below is what is behind the
doors of each one, who it suits, and why the calendar is the one LEGO gift that should not wait for Black Friday.
The five 2026 calendars at a glance
All five came out on September 1, 2026, and each has 24 doors, one for every day from December 1 to
Christmas Eve. Prices and piece counts in the cards below come from our catalog when this page is updated.

Who is missing this year
The 2026 lineup is smaller than 2025's. There is no Harry Potter calendar, after one every year from
2019 to 2025 in our catalog, and no Minecraft calendar, which made its debut in 2025. Disney's slot
moved from Frozen in 2025 to Disney Princess in 2026. If the person you are buying for only collects Harry Potter,
a small set from our Harry Potter 2026 guide is a
better December gift than a calendar from a franchise they do not follow.
The 2026 Star Wars calendar is built around The Mandalorian and Grogu, with the cast in holiday
outfits. Its six minifigures include Grogu, the Mandalorian, Moff Gideon, IG-11 and a Jawa, and the doors without a
figure hold mini builds drawn from the series. It is the pick for a child who watches the show and for adult fans
who buy the calendar for the minifigures alone.
Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026
The Mandalorian and Grogu at Christmas: six minifigures in holiday outfits plus mini builds from the series, rated 6+.
Marvel Advent Calendar 2026 (76340)
Marvel's calendar matches Star Wars on figures, with six minifigures: Spider-Man, Iron Man,
Captain America, Wolverine, Gwen Stacy as Ghost-Spider and Doctor Doom as the villain. The rest of the doors are
small Super Hero vehicles and gadgets. Choose it over Star Wars for a child whose favorite heroes are in the
Avengers or X-Men rather than a galaxy far away.
Super Heroes Marvel Advent Calendar 2026
Six Marvel minifigures, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine and Doctor Doom, with Super Hero mini vehicles behind the other doors. Rated 6+.
City Advent Calendar 2026 (60510)
The City calendar is set in Santa's workshop, with Santa, his elves and a newly designed baby
reindeer. It is rated 5+ and tells the most Christmas-shaped story of the five, which makes it the easiest choice
for a young child who is not attached to any franchise. Our catalog is still waiting on the US listing details for
this one, so check the current price at the retailer:

Disney's 2026 calendar brings four princesses as minidolls, Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella and Moana,
each with an animal companion. It is rated 5+, like City, and it is the better of the two for a child who plays
with dolls more than with vehicles.
Disney Princess Advent Calendar 2026
$44.99
Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella and Moana as minidolls, each with an animal companion, across 24 doors. Rated 5+.
The Friends calendar follows three minidolls through a run of winter days out: sleigh rides, a snowball fight, hot
chocolate and a snowman. It also has six small animals, among them a seal, a polar bear and a penguin. It is rated
6+ and suits a child who already owns Friends sets, since the minidolls and animals fit straight into them.
Friends Advent Calendar 2026
Three Friends minidolls and six small animals on a run of winter days out, from sleigh rides to hot chocolate. Rated 6+.
Which one to buy
-
A five-year-old: City for the Santa story and vehicles, Disney Princess for minidolls. They are the only two rated 5+.
-
A child of six to ten with a favorite franchise: that franchise. Star Wars and Marvel each have six minifigures; Friends has three minidolls and six animals.
-
An adult fan: Star Wars or Marvel. None of the 2026 calendars is rated 18+, and the minifigures are what collectors keep.
-
Two children sharing one calendar: buy two different ones instead. Every door holds one small surprise, and each calendar is made for one person to open each morning.
-
A Harry Potter or Minecraft fan: no calendar this year. Pick a small set from their theme instead.
When to buy a LEGO advent calendar
Buy in October or early November. The first door opens on December 1, so the calendar has to be
in the house before the month starts, and advent calendars are made for a single season: every 2025 LEGO advent
calendar in our catalog carried an expected exit date of December 31, 2025. Waiting for Black Friday, which falls
on November 27, 2026, leaves four days for delivery. For the rest of the season's gifts and the
sale dates, see our Christmas 2026 gift guide; for
stocking stuffers, our best LEGO sets under $50.
