This set is perfect for Vespa enthusiasts, LEGO vehicle collectors, and anyone looking for a quick and satisfying build. The small size makes it ideal for desk or shelf display, and the relatively low piece count ensures an enjoyable building experience for all skill levels.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The LEGO Vespa (40517) presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from the Creator theme, it benefits from the enduring popularity of the Vespa brand and the generally positive reception of LEGO vehicle models. While the piece count is relatively low, the set's affordability and iconic subject matter may drive demand in the secondary market. However, its initial low price point limits the potential for significant appreciation. Investors should monitor price trends and consider purchasing sealed copies in good condition for optimal returns.

Compared to the larger LEGO Vespa 125 (10298), this set offers a more affordable and compact alternative. While lacking the intricate details of the larger model, it still captures the essence of the Vespa design. It's a good choice for those with limited space or budget. Other similar sets in this price range include LEGO Creator animals or small vehicles, but the Vespa offers a unique and stylish appeal.
