The Year of the Tiger set is a charming tribute to the Lunar New Year. This adorable brick-built tiger captures the essence of the zodiac animal with its vibrant orange and black stripes and playful expression. It's a delightful way to celebrate the holiday and add a touch of festive cheer to any LEGO collection.

This set is perfect for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages, especially those interested in cultural themes. The build is relatively quick and straightforward, making it accessible for beginners, while the finished model is attractive enough for display by seasoned collectors. It's also a great gift for anyone celebrating the Lunar New Year.

Skip this if you prefer more complex or challenging LEGO builds. This set is designed for a simpler building experience and focuses on aesthetics rather than intricate techniques. Consider the larger Lunar New Year sets like the Lunar New Year Ice Festival (80109-1) for a more involved build.

⏳ Retired

The Year of the Tiger set, as a retired Lunar New Year promotional set, holds moderate investment potential. Its limited availability and connection to a specific cultural event can drive up demand among collectors, especially those focused on completing the series of LEGO zodiac animals. However, its relatively small size and piece count may limit significant price appreciation. While not a guaranteed high-return investment, it's likely to hold its value and potentially increase modestly over time.

Compared to other Lunar New Year sets, the Year of the Tiger is smaller and more affordable, making it an accessible entry point to the theme. While larger sets like the Lunar New Year Ice Festival (80109-1) offer more complex builds and play features, this set provides a charming and quick building experience focused on display. It's a good choice for those with limited space or budget who still want to celebrate the holiday with LEGO.
