The Electric Play Train Set, while not a highly sought-after investment piece, holds some potential for moderate appreciation due to its age and the enduring appeal of LEGO trains. Its relatively low piece count and Duplo format limit its potential compared to more complex sets, but complete sets in good condition are likely to retain or slightly increase in value, especially among collectors of vintage LEGO trains and Duplo enthusiasts. The presence of the motorized train component adds to its desirability. Be mindful of the condition of the motor, as functionality is key to maintaining value.
