Fans fondly remember the charming animal figures and handy storage bucket, though adult collectors note that finding complete sets with all original prints in good condition can be challenging.

📝 Our Take

XL Elephant Bucket is a delightful blast from the past for classic DUPLO fans. Released in 2000, this set combined a generous assortment of bright primary-colored bricks with unique animal elements that captured the imaginations of young builders.

This set is perfect for toddlers taking their first steps into the world of LEGO or nostalgic collectors seeking Y2K preschool treasures. The sturdy plastic bucket makes cleanup a breeze, and the specialized elephant and panda pieces offer instant play value right out of the box.

Skip this if you are looking for modern complex building systems or minifigure-scale sets. Because this is a DUPLO product meant for ages 1.5 to 5, adult MOC builders will find limited utility outside of collecting vintage packaging and rare animal molds.

Retired

As a retired, vintage DUPLO set from 2000, the XL Elephant Bucket holds a distinct nostalgic appeal for collectors who grew up at the turn of the millennium. However, investing in vintage preschool sets comes with unique risks, particularly condition sensitivity; finding complete sets with all original printed elements and the storage bucket in pristine condition is increasingly difficult.

⚖ Compare Similar Sets

Compared to standard modern DUPLO town or farm buckets, set 2332-1 stands out for its specific inclusion of both an adult elephant and a panda cub. While newer themed buckets focus on specific licensed properties or modern city vehicles, this 2000 classic leans heavily into a safari aesthetic that appeals to vintage collectors.
