Open back Parisian restaurant 10423

So over last winter I was helping my daughter build some of her Lego friends sets and the thing that I appreciated immediately about them is that the buildings are all open back, allowing kids to actually play with them. So it got me thinking, why don’t the modulars have open backs as well? Like, yea the floors come apart and all but if your a kid that must feel weird moving your minifig from seperate floor to floor.
