⏳ Retired

As a retired DUPLO set featuring an exceptional variety of animals and figures, 10805-1 holds a unique position in the secondary market. DUPLO sets generally appreciate slower than systemic LEGO themes, but massive animal-themed boxes always command strong demand from parents looking for educational toys. With a current price hovering around $180 compared to its original $99.99 MSRP, it has shown steady growth. Investing in DUPLO requires patience, as the boxes are bulky to store and shipping costs can eat into margins. However, sets containing rare animal molds like the whale and pandas retain their value remarkably well. This set is a solid hold for long-term collectors who focus on educational toys rather than traditional display sets.

Compared to smaller DUPLO town and farm sets, Around the World offers a much broader thematic range by incorporating polar, jungle, and savanna elements in one box. While sets like 10801 Baby Animals focus on a single ecosystem, 10805 provides the ultimate all-in-one zoo and travel experience, though at a significantly higher price point.
