📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

My First LEGO Set is a wonderfully nostalgic and practical introduction to classic brick-building. Released back in 2013 under the Bricks & More theme, this set delivers a charming variety of basic elements alongside fun construction-themed accessories like a dump truck and a crane.

This set is perfect for young builders stepping up to standard LEGO bricks and nostalgic collectors alike. With 148 pieces, it offers a quick, satisfying building session, and the inclusion of the storage box lid as a building plate adds fantastic on-the-go play value.

Skip this if you are looking for advanced building techniques or a massive display model. At under 150 pieces, it is strictly designed for beginners and younger kids, so experienced builders might want to look toward larger City construction sets instead.

⏳ Retired

As a retired 2013 set with a modest piece count, My First LEGO Set appeals primarily to nostalgia seekers and completionists rather than serious financial investors. While its current price trend is rising slightly above its original MSRP, the sealed market remains relatively niche compared to major licensed themes like Star Wars or Harry Potter. Anyone considering picking this up should be aware of standard secondary market fluctuations, as smaller classic sets carry limited appreciation potential and high shipping costs relative to their value.
