The Green Grocer is a cornerstone of the LEGO Modular Buildings series. Released in 2008, it introduced advanced building techniques and a vibrant color scheme that set a new standard for LEGO city layouts. The detailed facade and fully furnished interior make it a standout model.

This set is perfect for LEGO enthusiasts who appreciate intricate design and urban landscapes. The build offers a challenging and rewarding experience, resulting in a visually stunning display piece that seamlessly integrates with other modular buildings.

Skip this if you're new to LEGO building or prefer action-oriented sets. The advanced techniques and focus on architectural detail may be overwhelming for beginners. Consider starting with a smaller modular building like the Bookshop (10270) or the Boutique Hotel (10297).

The Green Grocer (10185) is considered a highly desirable set within the LEGO collecting community, particularly among Modular Building enthusiasts. Its age, coupled with its status as one of the earlier modulars, contributes significantly to its value. The current market price reflects its scarcity and demand. As a retired set, its value is expected to continue appreciating, especially for sealed or meticulously maintained copies. However, fluctuations in the LEGO market and economic conditions could impact its future value. Investing in such a set requires careful consideration and awareness of market trends.

The Green Grocer is a unique entry in the Modular Buildings series due to its sand green color scheme and detailed interior. Compared to later modulars like the Pet Shop (10218) or Town Hall (10224), it offers a more classic urban feel. Collectors often choose the Green Grocer for its rarity and iconic status, despite the higher price point.
