What is the best non Lego brand to get tons of parts from?

So my son got a set of motors and control module for his birthday. We’re both hugely into Lego. Younger me would have died to have this stuff. Anyways we’re lacking in a lot of the specialized parts and wondering if there’s a specific brand that is consistent.
