Week 36 Mercedes eCitaro G Fuel Cell : real life front made, more testing needed

A dedicated LEGO builder and community member shares significant progress on a custom Mercedes eCitaro G Fuel Cell bus MOC (My Own Creation) in the Week 36 update. After receiving a fresh shipment of elements, the builder successfully constructed the front section, side panels, and the challenging roof curve.

Significant engineering hurdles were tackled during this phase, notably figuring out how to properly secure the white side section while leaving precise clearance for the rotating door mechanism. The builder plans to mirror this sturdy solution to the opposite side for complete symmetry, though overall structural stability remains a primary focus. While the roof curve achieves the desired aesthetic look, it currently requires a better connection method to the main roof, alongside a temporary yellow substitute piece waiting to be replaced with the correct color in next month's parts order.

Digital designs received only minor tweaks that do not impact the core structure. The builder continues to refine the connection between the central section and the chassis, aiming for a final product that meets official LEGO-like standards for quality and sturdiness. As the project progresses toward eventual completion, builders working on their own complex custom models might find it helpful to keep a brick separator on hand for iterative prototyping and design adjustments.
