LEGO enthusiast /u/Ok-Part4561 is seeking advice on which LEGO Technic set to purchase with a budget of 736 CAD. The user, who enjoys cars and has previously built several Technic cars, is torn between the motorized Volvo EC500 and other sets that offer a deep dive into engineering. The user is looking for a set that is fun to build and play with, rather than a display piece.

The user is considering the Volvo EC500, which stands out due to its motorized features. Other sets under consideration include the Ferrari SP3, the McLaren P1, and the BMW M100RR. These sets appeal to the user because of their engineering complexity. The user specifically mentioned they are not interested in a set that would simply sit on a shelf.

Given the user's preferences, the Volvo EC500 could be a great choice due to its motorized functionality, which would provide an engaging play experience. The other sets mentioned also offer intricate builds, which could satisfy the user's interest in engineering.

For a car enthusiast, building and playing with LEGO Technic sets can be a rewarding experience. The user might want to consider the play features of each set before making a final decision. To keep your sets organized, consider a LEGO storage box.

I’m a huge car guy and I have the 2 fast 2 furious r34 skyline, as well as 3 other 700-900 piece technic cars. I got some holiday money (736 CAD) and I’m stuck between the Volvo EC500 because of its motorized features, The Ferrari SP3, The McLaren p1 and the BMW M100RR because of its deep dive into engineering. I am pretty childish and definitely do NOT want a showroom set that would sit on a shelf, any other recommendations would be much appreciated. submitted by /u/Ok-Part4561 ...
