Rastar Red Bull F1 (motorised) – Are both sides supposed to move independently?

Hey everyone, I’m currently building the Rastar Red Bull F1 (motorised version), and I’ve run into something I’m not sure about. After setting up the gear function (video attached), I noticed that the two sides are moving independently from each other. Basically, each side can move separately instead of both moving together.
