May Build Challenge - gearbox

Video of my Koenigsegg “lightspeed” 9 speed transmission. I posted this a while ago when I had the first idea and that build didn’t shift well so here is version 2. It uses three input gears, three out with a lay shaft in between and six “clutches” (mine are the Lego dog rings) exactly as the real car / gearbox does. Shifting is by manually sliding the plate at the moment but I plan to have a gear lever for shifting up/down in version 3. submitted by /u/MobileJob1521 [link] [comments]
