LEGO Technic/Powered up for kids

Hello people, So my son of 5 has a friend that plays with these kind of toys and now my son wants Lego which he can remotely control as well (and to be honest, I'm kind of glad he's asking for something like this instead of games haha) but its a whole new world for me. He wants something so that he can build his own cars but then remote control it but after googling a bit ... it's confusing to say the least haha.
