Differential slipping/skipping teeth

Made an account to see if anyone could help me out here. This is my first attempt at making a Lego RC car. I’ve been driving it around inside and outside and I’ve started having issues with the differential gear slipping away from the double bevel gear that’s turning it. It’s able to wiggle around while connected to the axles and it has just enough leeway to slip. It started off with me just hearing occasional clicking sounds whenever the parts are under higher stress, like the drive wheels...
