Damaged parts on older set

Hello, is there a list somewhere of the parts that tend to break or wear out the most? I sorted through an older set and noticed that a lot of the connectors are damaged. I’m wondering if there are other parts I should inspect closely before ordering replacements. The set is 8258, lego seems to have most of the parts I notice are damaged.
