Build recommendation for a vintage set, as an old new builder

Hello community ! Long story / Short story : Back in time, 1989, my last build was the 8865. Then, the Gameboy came out, and i swicth to videogame since... Now i'm 47 old, and i want to play again, so i buy this used bad boy. What do you recommand ? Should i wash it ? Should i check if it's really a full set before starting the build ?
