Nessarose

Making her debut in LEGO minidoll form alongside the 2024 theatrical release of Wicked, Nessarose is an essential addition for fans of the iconic musical and classic Oz lore. Portrayed as Elphaba's younger sister attending Shiz University, this version captures her early student years before her tragic transformation into the Wicked Witch of the East.

The minidoll features finely detailed printing, including a preppy layered coral and dark azure sweater over a collared white shirt, paired with a sand blue skirt and color-matched shoes with coral laces. Her long, tousled black hairpiece and expressive head print with cheek dimples make her immediately recognizable to fans of the movie adaptation.

As the very first official LEGO representation of Nessarose, this figure holds substantial appeal for both licensed movie minidoll collectors and broad musical theater enthusiasts looking to assemble the complete cast of Shiz University.

Nessarose is currently exclusive to a single retail release: 75681 Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose at Shiz Uni (2024). Because she is not distributed across any other sets in the initial Wicked wave, collectors must acquire this specific set to add her to their collection.

While the set itself sits at an accessible $29.99 retail price point during its active shelf life, minidolls exclusive to single-set licensed themes often experience a supply drop once the wave officially retires, leading to tighter secondary market availability.

Licensed pop-culture properties with passionate subcultures—such as Wicked and Broadway adaptations—often establish a durable secondary market footprint. Nessarose represents a key secondary protagonist whose character arc is pivotal to the Oz storyline, ensuring ongoing interest beyond the initial theatrical window.

Because minidolls generally experience a slightly different market dynamic compared to standard minifigures, peak appreciation will largely rely on the longevity of the movie franchise and collector interest in completing the core trio alongside Elphaba and Glinda. Once set 75681 retires, this exclusive minidoll is positioned for solid, steady value retention.
