Minifigure details
Bombur the Dwarf is a desirable minifigure for collectors of The Hobbit theme, particularly those focused on completing the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. His unique molded hair and beard piece, along with his distinctive torso print, make him instantly recognizable and appealing. The character's memorable role in the books and films further increases his collectibility.
Condition is always a factor for serious collectors. Minifigures in excellent, like-new condition command a premium. Look for figures with no scratches, fading, or playwear, especially on the torso print, which is unique to this minifigure.
Bombur appears in only one set, 79003 An Unexpected Gathering, which was retired in 2014. This limited availability contributes to his relative scarcity on the aftermarket. While not the rarest minifigure overall, his single set appearance makes him more challenging to acquire than figures appearing in multiple sets.
