🏆 Collectibility Analysis

Collectibility Notes

The Lex Luthor in Green and Dark Purple Armor minifigure is highly sought after by collectors, particularly those focused on DC Super Heroes and Superman villains. Its distinctive armor design, featuring a green and dark purple color scheme, makes it visually striking and unique within the Lex Luthor minifigure lineup. The minifigure's relative scarcity, appearing in only two retired sets, further enhances its appeal.

Condition is paramount for collectors seeking this minifigure. Mint or near-mint condition figures with undamaged printing and no scratches command a premium. The presence of the original armor piece is crucial, as replacements can be difficult to source. The character's prominent role in the DC universe and the enduring popularity of Superman-related LEGO sets contribute to the sustained demand for this minifigure.

Rarity Analysis

This Lex Luthor minifigure appears in only two sets, both of which are now retired. The 'Lex Luthor Mech Takedown' set (76097-1) was more widely available than the 'Lex Luthor's Puzzles' set (9780794451097-1), which was a promotional item. This limited availability contributes to the minifigure's relative rarity on the aftermarket. While not a regional exclusive, the limited production run of the sets containing this figure makes it less common than other Lex Luthor minifigures.
