Lurtz

This variant of Lurtz captures the menacing Uruk-hai leader freshly spawned beneath Isengard, as seen in The Fellowship of the Ring. Unlike the fully armored battlefield variant, this version features a unique bare-chested torso with detailed muscle printing, depicting him emerging from the spawning pits of Orthanc.

A standout feature is the iconic headpiece featuring the White Hand of Saruman painted across his face alongside an aggressive scowl. Because it exclusively appeared in a single, highly sought-after retailer-exclusive set (9476 The Orc Forge), complete figures in mint condition are prized by both Middle-earth collectors and purist LEGO minifigure completionists.

Condition is particularly important for this minifigure's dark hairpiece and reddish-brown torso, which can show surface scratches or playwear easily. Finding one with crisp, unmarred white printing on the face is a top priority for serious collectors.

This unarmored variant of Lurtz was exclusively available in set 9476 (The Orc Forge) released in 2012. As a retailer exclusive with a limited production run during the initial classic Lord of the Rings wave, sealed copies and standalone minifigures are scarce on the secondary market. The absence of modern re-releases for this specific scene-accurate variant keeps supply strictly capped.
