Garbage Man Grant

Garbage Man Grant is an absolute gem for fans of The LEGO Movie theme, bringing a wonderfully gritty, down-to-earth charm to a lineup usually filled with Master Builders and apocalyptic warriors. Collectors are particularly drawn to this figure because of its fantastic printed details, including the lime jacket with star-shaped stains, reflective safety stripes, and a great dark bluish gray knitted cap that really sells the working-class aesthetic. The character's face print—featuring a rugged brown beard, bushy eyebrows, and white pupils—gives him a ton of personality.

When hunting for this figure on the secondary market, condition is everything. Because of his detailed torso and leg prints, check closely for scuffing on the reflective stripes and ink wear on the hands and arms. Since he only appeared in one major set tied to a specific movie release, complete figures with all original parts intact are becoming increasingly sought after by completionists trying to round out their LEGO Movie display shelves.

Rarity-wise, Garbage Man Grant sits in an interesting spot for modern minifigures. He was released in a single mid-sized set back in 2014, meaning his overall production run was tied directly to the theatrical run and shelf life of that specific vehicle build. Because he wasn't packed into any massive, highly-produced flagship sets, the pool of available figures is relatively limited compared to standard City-themed sanitation workers.

Most copies out there are tied to used sets, so tracking down a pristine standalone figure can take a little patience as older movie tie-in sets continue to dry up on the aftermarket.
