Harry Potter, Gryffindor Sweater, Short Legs

Ah, the iconic young Wizarding World lead! This particular version of Harry Potter featuring his classic Gryffindor sweater and short legs is an absolute must-have for any fan of the early LEGO Harry Potter modern relaunch era. Capturing Harry's arrival at Hogwarts and his earliest adventures, this figure features the adorable unarticulated short legs which instantly transport collectors back to the nostalgic 2018 wave. The torso print is wonderfully detailed, showing off the cozy dark bluish-gray sweater layered over his shirt and sporting the iconic red and yellow Gryffindor tie.

Collectors should keep a close eye on the condition of the light nougat head and the delicate printing of his signature dark orange lightning scar and glasses. Because this figure was packed into everything from massive flagship sets to various book accessories and promotional foil packs, tracking down a pristine copy with crisp facial printing and unblemished short legs is a fun treasure hunt. The dual-expression head—featuring both a cheerful grin and a terrified alternate face—adds immense play and display value for younger fans and adult collectors alike.

Despite appearing in a generous ten different releases, this variant occupies a fascinating sweet spot in the aftermarket. Because its debut appearance was anchored to the massive and hugely popular Hogwarts Great Hall in 2018, it saw widespread initial distribution. However, its subsequent appearances were largely scattered across obscure promotional foil packs, book bundles, and activity books like Harry Potter: Rätselspass für Geniale Zauberer and various Wizarding Duels duopacks.

While the sheer number of containing sets means he isn't a ghost to track down, many of those secondary sources were impulse-buy paperbacks or limited-run promotional items that are now long out of print. Market data indicates that finding this specific short-leg variant loose in top-tier condition remains surprisingly steady, though sealed promotional polybags featuring this figure command a nice premium from dedicated packaging collectors.

From an investment perspective, this minifigure earns a solid B rating. While its widespread availability across ten different products prevents it from reaching ultra-rare status, the sheer everlasting global appeal of Harry Potter guarantees a perpetual baseline demand. New collectors entering the hobby often look for this specific early-era Hogwarts student outfit as an essential baseline piece for their chronological displays.

Market data shows that while prices for this common variant have stabilized, the retirement of all its containing sets—culminating with the retirement of the iconic Great Hall—has placed a healthy floor under its value. It makes a wonderful, affordable addition to any theme-focused portfolio or a great trade piece to bundle with other Wizarding World figures.
