The best LEGO Architecture set for most adult builders in 2026 is Notre-Dame de Paris: it is the largest Architecture set on sale that our catalog prices, it gives the most pieces for the money of the line, and it is expected to stay on sale until the end of 2027. Below it, the choice comes down to the subject you want on the shelf and how much room you have. This guide ranks the Architecture sets our catalog lists as on sale, then covers the two new flagships, Tower Bridge and the Sagrada Família, and the landmarks that left the range this year.
How we ranked them
This is a research based guide. We took the current landmark and city sets our catalog lists as active or retiring soon and ranked them for an adult builder by size, pieces for the money, subject and how long each is expected to stay on sale. The landmark and city sets in this guide are all marked 18+. Prices, piece counts and retirement status in each card come from our catalog when this page is built.
1. Notre-Dame de Paris (21061): best overall
Notre-Dame is the biggest build of the Architecture sets on sale that our catalog prices, and of those it gives the most pieces for the money. Its expected exit date is the end of 2027, so there is no rush, but it is the set to start with if you want one substantial landmark.
Notre-Dame de Paris
$229.99
Notre-Dame de Paris, the largest priced Architecture set on sale. The pick for one serious landmark build.
The larger of 2025's two Architecture landmarks, and the castle to choose if you want one that stays on sale: its expected exit date is the end of 2028, while Himeji Castle leaves at the end of 2026. Pick it over Notre-Dame if the subject matters more than the size.
Neuschwanstein Castle
$279.99
Neuschwanstein Castle, launched in August 2025 and expected on sale until the end of 2028.
3. Trevi Fountain (21062): the mid-price landmark
The Trevi Fountain is the landmark to buy at the middle of the price range, and it is expected to stay on sale until the end of 2028.
Trevi Fountain
$159.99
The Trevi Fountain, a March 2025 landmark at the middle of the range.
4. Himeji Castle (21060): buy it this year
Himeji Castle sits at the same price level as the Trevi Fountain, and it is the one Architecture set on sale with an expected exit date of December 31, 2026, so this is likely the last holiday season LEGO sells it.
Himeji Castle
$159.99
Himeji Castle, expected to leave LEGO's range on December 31, 2026.
5. New York City: The Big Apple (21066): the new city set
In 2026 LEGO added two city sets that gather a city's landmarks into one composed display, a new take on the old skyline format. The New York set, launched June 1, 2026, is the larger of the two, with references to landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge.
New York City – The Big Apple
$139.99
New York City: The Big Apple, the June 2026 city set and the larger of the two new city displays.
6. Paris: City of Love (21064): the entry set
The first of the new city sets, launched January 1, 2026, and the least expensive way into Architecture today. A good gift for someone who loves Paris.
Paris - City of Love
$79.99
Paris: City of Love, the January 2026 city set and the entry point to the line.
The new flagships: Tower Bridge and the Sagrada Família
Tower Bridge (21067) launched on August 1, 2026. Its two central bascules raise and can be displayed open or closed, and the river base carries small vehicles including a double-decker bus. LEGO's earlier Tower Bridge, the 2010 Creator Expert set 10214, was larger and has long since retired. Our catalog does not list a US price for the new one yet, so check the set page for current pricing.
Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge, the August 2026 Architecture flagship with raising bascules.
The Sagrada Família (21065) is due on November 1, 2026. LEGO built Gaudí's basilica as the largest Architecture set yet, and it has more pieces than any LEGO set before it, passing the 2021 World Map. It is not in our catalog yet.
What left the range in 2026
