Compared to modern LEGO sets, the Modulex Box offers a completely different experience, focused on historical appreciation rather than complex building. Alternatives like the LEGO Architecture series (e.g., 21042-1 Statue of Liberty) provide more involved building experiences but lack the historical significance of Modulex. Collectors interested in LEGO's history might also consider vintage LEGO system sets from the 1950s and 60s, if they can be found.
