The investment potential of the 2001 Unused Parts Database Set is highly speculative. Its value lies primarily in its rarity and novelty as an internal LEGO resource made available to the public. Due to its unusual nature, predicting its future value is difficult. It may appeal to hardcore LEGO collectors interested in owning a piece of LEGO history.

This set is unlike most publicly available LEGO sets. It's more of a parts pack showcasing specific elements. A closer comparison might be made to LEGO Education sets that focus on specific building techniques or parts assortments. However, its primary appeal is its unusual origin as an internal LEGO resource.
