Fans appreciate Ultrarex for its unique concept of combining multiple sets, offering a different kind of LEGO experience. However, some find the final model less polished than dedicated sets, and the need to acquire four separate sets can be a barrier.

📝 Our Take

Ultrarex is a nostalgic trip back to the late 90s Throwbot/Slizer era. Combining four smaller sets to create a larger, more imposing robot, Ultrarex represents a unique concept in LEGO design, encouraging fans to collect multiple sets for a combined build.

This set is perfect for LEGO enthusiasts who appreciate unique building challenges. The combined nature of the build offers a distinctive experience, blending Technic elements with classic LEGO system pieces. It's a fun project for those interested in exploring alternative building techniques and celebrating LEGO's history.

Skip this if you prefer highly detailed, display-focused sets. Ultrarex prioritizes playability and creative combination over intricate aesthetics. If you're looking for a more refined display model, consider sets from themes like LEGO Icons or Architecture.
