⏳ Retired

The Space Set 9355-1 presents an interesting investment opportunity due to its age, rarity, and unique position as an educational set. Its retired status and the rising price trend indicate growing demand among collectors, particularly those interested in vintage LEGO and the Dacta line. The presence of eight Futuron minifigures also adds to its appeal. However, potential investors should be aware of the higher entry cost and the condition of vintage sets, which can significantly impact their value. Compared to modern sets, its investment potential relies more on its historical significance and collector demand than on intricate design or licensing.

Compared to modern LEGO Space sets which often emphasize complex builds and licensed themes, the Space Set 9355-1 offers a simpler, more open-ended building experience focused on education and collaborative play. While sets like the LEGO City Space series (60349-1) provide detailed spacecraft and lunar bases, this vintage set appeals to collectors and educators seeking a nostalgic, hands-on approach to LEGO building. Its unique value lies in its historical context and the opportunity for creative, collaborative building.
