The Community Vehicles set, being a vintage Duplo offering, has niche appeal to collectors of vintage LEGO and Duplo sets. Its low piece count and simple design mean it's unlikely to command high prices, but complete sets in excellent condition with original packaging could see modest appreciation, especially among collectors seeking to complete their Duplo collections. The set's educational and play value, however, remain its strongest assets rather than its investment potential. As with all vintage sets, condition is key to value.

Compared to modern Duplo vehicle sets, Community Vehicles offers a simpler, more classic design aesthetic. Modern sets like 10917-1 feature more complex builds and specialized pieces, but this older set offers a nostalgic charm and focuses on essential community roles. Collectors seeking vintage appeal may prefer this set, while parents looking for more advanced play features might opt for newer Duplo offerings.
