As a vintage Duplo set, Ships (9162-1) holds some appeal for collectors of classic LEGO toys. Its value is primarily driven by nostalgia and completeness, with original packaging significantly increasing its worth. While not a high-growth investment, it's a charming piece of LEGO history that may see modest appreciation over time. The low piece count and Duplo nature limit its potential compared to more complex sets.
