Collectors love the vibrant retro printing and fun flower accessories, though finding specific figures in the blind bags was always a challenge.

📝 Our Take

Hippie from Series 7 is an absolute blast from the past with exceptional thematic charm. Released in 2012, this blind-bag minifigure captured the quintessential 1960s counterculture aesthetic with fantastic printed details and wonderful accessories.

This set is perfect for minifigure collectors and fans of retro pop culture. With just 9 pieces including the figure and its accessories, the build takes seconds, but the display appeal and nostalgic punch are immense for any LEGO town or collection.

Skip this if you are looking for a traditional building experience or complex construction. If you just want bricks to build MOCs, you'd be better off grabbing a classic LEGO Classic box instead of tracking down a retired blind bag.

Series 7 collectibles maintain a dedicated following among completionists who want to round out their vintage character displays. While it may not offer massive financial gains like a high-end UCS set, it represents a stable, low-risk piece of LEGO history. Investors should keep in mind that sealed blind bags carry authentication risks, and condition is everything when dealing with collectible minifigures. As older series become scarcer, complete figures with all their original accessories will continue to attract steady interest from retro enthusiasts, though market liquidity can be slower for individual minifigures compared to sealed sets.

Compared to standard city minifigures, Collectible Minifigures (CMFs) like the Hippie offer unique printing and specialized accessories that you won't find in regular retail boxes. While buying individual figures from Series 7 costs more than their original blind-bag price, it remains a much cheaper alternative to tracking down complete sealed boxes.
