📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Magnet Set Darth Maul is a quirky piece of LEGO Star Wars history. These magnet sets offered a unique way to display your favorite characters, bridging the gap between toys and collectibles in a fun, albeit limited, format.

This set is perfect for Star Wars collectors interested in oddities and completists. It provides a relatively inexpensive way to obtain minifigures from Episode I, and the magnetic functionality adds a touch of novelty.

Skip this if you're looking for a complex build or substantial play value. This set is primarily for display and the magnets limit the minifigures' posability; consider a battle pack for more traditional LEGO play.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

This set's investment potential is moderate. While the piece count is low and the building experience minimal, the Star Wars theme and the inclusion of Darth Maul (a popular character) give it some collector appeal. As a retired set from 2009, it has already seen some price appreciation, but its value hinges on the condition of the minifigures and packaging. The rising price trend suggests continued interest, but the limited nature of the set (magnets) may cap its long-term growth.
