The Fireboat is a classic LEGO City set that brings aquatic firefighting action to life. Released in 2007, this set stands out with its motorized function, allowing it to actually move in water, a feature that adds a unique play experience compared to static models.

This set is perfect for LEGO City enthusiasts and children who enjoy imaginative play. The working motor and included minifigures provide ample opportunity for creating exciting rescue scenarios, and the boat's size makes it a substantial addition to any LEGO City layout.

Skip this if you're primarily looking for complex building techniques or display pieces. While fun, the Fireboat's construction is relatively simple, and those seeking a more challenging build or a detailed display model might prefer sets like the newer LEGO City fire stations or vehicles.

The Fireboat (7906-1) presents an interesting investment opportunity, primarily driven by its age, retired status, and the inclusion of a working motor, which is a less common feature in modern LEGO sets. The rising price trend indicates increasing demand from collectors seeking nostalgic LEGO City sets. However, the set's relatively simple design and the potential fragility of the motor are factors to consider. While it may not reach the investment heights of licensed themes, its unique features and appeal to LEGO City fans suggest potential for appreciation.
