📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Lamborghini Countach is a masterclass in capturing impossible wedge geometry with simple LEGO bricks. Translating the iconic 1980s supercar's aggressive angles into a six-stud-wide Speed Champions scale is no small feat, yet this set achieves it brilliantly through clever SNOT (Studs Not On Top) techniques.

This set is perfect for automotive enthusiasts and fans of classic wedge design. The 262-piece build is surprisingly intricate for its size, offering an engaging hour of construction that showcases how modern LEGO design can turn basic plates into an instantly recognizable automotive legend.

Skip this if you exclusively collect larger 8-stud-wide Speed Champions or prefer play features over pure display accuracy. While stunning on a shelf, its compact size and sharp angles mean it's primarily built for static admiration rather than rough-and-tumble play.

⏳ Retired

As a retired Speed Champions set from the 6-stud-wide era, the Lamborghini Countach holds a sweet spot for automotive collectors. The 6-wide format has a dedicated nostalgic following, especially for iconic classic supercars that preceded the wider 8-stud redesign. With a low initial MSRP of $19.99 and high demand for recognizable brands like Lamborghini, this set has strong appreciation potential on the secondary market. The inclusion of unique printed wheel covers and the universally beloved white Countach livery makes it a standout piece in the older Speed Champions lineup. While it lacks the minifigure-heavy appeal of licensed movie cars, pure car collectors frequently hunt down these retired sports cars to complete their displays. Expect steady, reliable growth as sealed copies become scarcer over time.

Compared to later 8-stud-wide Speed Champions sets, the 6-wide Countach is noticeably more compact, which actually helps sell its retro scale. While it lacks the interior passenger space of newer models, its geometric shaping is arguably more impressive given the tighter constraints.
