📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas is a quirky and fun set from the DC Comics Super Heroes line. It features a unique combination of minifigures, a buildable gorilla, and a destructible truck, creating a dynamic play experience. The set captures the chaotic nature of Gorilla Grodd's antics with a touch of LEGO humor.

This set is perfect for younger LEGO fans and collectors of DC minifigures. The build is relatively straightforward, making it accessible for kids, while the inclusion of several iconic characters adds to its appeal for collectors. It's a great set for imaginative play and recreating scenes from the comics.

Skip this if you're looking for a highly detailed or challenging build. The focus is more on playability and character selection than intricate building techniques. Consider sets like the Batmobile or larger scale Justice League sets for a more complex building experience.

⏳ Retired

Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from a popular licensed theme (DC Comics Super Heroes), it benefits from both character appeal and LEGO nostalgia. The presence of exclusive minifigures like Gorilla Grodd himself enhances its collectibility. However, the relatively small piece count and original MSRP may limit its long-term appreciation compared to larger, more complex sets. The rising price trend suggests growing demand, but potential investors should monitor the market and consider the condition of the set.
