Fans love the charming octopus helmet and cheap army-building potential, though some note it is essentially just a minifigure with a few accessory parts rather than a traditional build.

📝 Our Take

Shark Army Octopus is a quirky and fun slice of The LEGO Ninjago Movie lineup. Packing a unique army-builder minifigure and a handful of useful parts into a tiny impulse-buy foil pack, it's a nostalgic snapshot of 2017's cinematic brick wave.

This set is perfect for Ninjago completists and army-builders. With a quick one-minute build and an affordable secondary market price, it's an easy way to expand your villainous forces without breaking the bank.

Skip this if you are looking for a substantial building experience or complex display piece. At just 12 pieces, it's essentially a minifigure blister pack rather than a traditional construction set.

As a retired impulse-purchase set from 2017, the Shark Army Octopus has modest appreciation potential driven purely by nostalgic Ninjago collectors and army builders. However, investors should note the liquidity risks: small polybag and foil pack items often incur higher shipping costs relative to their value, making them less efficient to flip individually. While it is unlikely to crash in value due to the enduring popularity of the Ninjago theme, appreciation is capped by the minimal piece count and lack of exclusive high-profile characters.
