Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Alienator, being a vintage Blacktron I set, holds moderate investment potential. Its age and relative scarcity contribute to its value, especially if it's in good condition with the box and instructions. While not as high-value as some larger sets, its appeal to LEGO space collectors makes it a worthwhile addition to a portfolio. However, its smaller piece count may limit significant appreciation compared to larger, more complex sets from the same era. The Blacktron theme has a dedicated following, which supports its value.

Compared to other Blacktron sets, the Alienator offers a compact and affordable entry point into the theme. While sets like the Renegade (6987-1) are larger and more impressive, the Alienator is more accessible for casual collectors. Its simple design contrasts with the more complex builds of later LEGO space themes, appealing to those who appreciate the classic aesthetic.
