The Dump Truck 6648-2 is a charming piece of LEGO Classic Town history. Released in 1980, its simple yet effective design captures the essence of a working vehicle with a functional tipper bed and a classic minifigure. This set is a nostalgic trip back to LEGO's early days.

This set is perfect for vintage LEGO collectors and those seeking a simple, enjoyable build. With only 42 pieces, it's a quick project that offers a glimpse into the design philosophy of early LEGO sets. Its small size makes it easy to display and store.

Skip this if you're only interested in complex, modern LEGO sets. This set lacks the intricate details and advanced building techniques found in contemporary models. Consider more detailed construction vehicles from the LEGO City line for a more challenging build.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Dump Truck 6648-2 presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a vintage set from 1980, it has a certain appeal to collectors, driving up its value over time. Its relatively low piece count and simple design, however, may limit its potential for significant appreciation. The rising price trend suggests growing collector interest, but careful monitoring is advised. The set's age means finding one in pristine condition with original packaging is increasingly difficult, which could further enhance its value.
