The Bounty Boat is a charming and classic LEGO Pirates set. Released in 1992, it perfectly captures the spirit of adventure with its small rowboat, treasure chest, and iconic minifigures, making it a nostalgic gem for long-time LEGO fans.

This set is perfect for LEGO Pirates enthusiasts and collectors of vintage sets. Its small size makes it an easy build and display piece, ideal for adding a touch of classic pirate flair to any collection without requiring a significant time investment.

Skip this if you're looking for a complex build or a large ship. The Bounty Boat is a simple set; consider larger Pirates ships like the Imperial Flagship (6271-1) for a more elaborate experience.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Bounty Boat (6247-1) presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from the classic LEGO Pirates theme, it benefits from nostalgia and a dedicated collector base. Its small size and relatively low piece count limit its potential for explosive growth, but its age and the enduring popularity of the Pirates theme provide a degree of stability. The inclusion of three minifigures, including Imperial Guard soldiers and a pirate, adds to its appeal. However, the set's original low price point means that price appreciation has already occurred, so future gains may be incremental. Investors should consider the set's condition and the completeness of the minifigures when evaluating its potential.

⚖ Compare Similar Sets

The Bounty Boat offers a smaller, more affordable entry point into the LEGO Pirates theme compared to larger sets like the Imperial Flagship (6271-1) or Black Seas Barracuda (6285-1). While those sets provide a more extensive building experience and larger display piece, the Bounty Boat's simplicity and lower price make it a good choice for collectors with limited space or budget. Its focus on a small rowboat and treasure hunt offers a different play experience than the larger ships.
