Pick-up Truck

As a retired 2012 Duplo set with a very low piece count of just 17 elements, the Pick-up Truck occupies a unique nostalgic niche in the secondary market. While Duplo sets generally don't carry the high speculative investment premiums of themes like Star Wars or modular buildings, vintage sealed or complete-in-box sets do hold steady value for collectors completing classic Town layouts. The current market price of around $33.79 reflects a modest rise over its original $24.99 MSRP, driven primarily by scarcity rather than massive speculative demand. Investors should note that Duplo pieces are remarkably durable, meaning complete used sets are relatively common. However, the inclusion of specific printed elements and the unique Bright Green figure add slight collector appeal for completionists. Overall, this set makes for a poor purely financial investment due to high shipping costs relative to item value and limited adult collector demand. It is much better suited as a sentimental purchase for someone looking to recapture childhood memories or gift a classic vehicle to a young builder.
