📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Knight's Stronghold is a classic castle set that embodies the spirit of LEGO's Black Knights theme. Released in 1990, this set features a well-designed stronghold with iconic black and gray color scheme, complete with five minifigures and plenty of play features. It's a nostalgic trip back to a golden age of LEGO castle building.

This set is perfect for LEGO castle enthusiasts and collectors seeking a vintage gem. The 228 pieces offer a satisfying build experience, and the set's compact size makes it ideal for display. It's also a great starting point for expanding your Black Knights collection.

Skip this if you're looking for a more complex or modern castle build. The set's simplicity might not appeal to experienced builders, and modern castle sets offer more intricate designs and advanced building techniques. Consider the newer Lion Knights' Castle (10305) for a larger, more detailed experience.

⏳ Retired

The Knight's Stronghold (6059-1) presents a solid investment opportunity due to its age, iconic status within the Black Knights theme, and relatively low piece count. Vintage LEGO castle sets tend to appreciate well, especially those in good condition with original packaging. However, the set's smaller size compared to modern castles may limit its potential for exponential growth. Consider that condition and completeness are critical factors in determining resale value. While the price trend is rising, be mindful of market fluctuations and potential for reproductions.
