⏳ Retired

As a retired LEGO City set with a low entry price point of $19.99, the Penguin Slushy Van holds modest yet steady potential for secondary market appreciation. Quirky food trucks and themed vehicles—especially those featuring unique costume minifigures like the penguin mascot—historically perform well among casual collectors and parents looking for complete sets. While it won't yield massive returns like a major licensed theme, its retired status and niche appeal make it a safe, low-cost asset for sealed collectors. The inclusion of specialized elements like the dark azure mudguards and printed tiles adds minor parts-out value, though sealed copies will always appeal most to city layout builders who missed out during its retail run.

Compared to standard police or fire vehicles in the LEGO City theme, the Penguin Slushy Van offers a much more colorful and relaxed vibe, similar to other roadside food vehicles like ice cream trucks or burger vans. It provides a distinct personality that breaks up the standard emergency services monotony of a city street.
