📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Monster Truck set is a surprisingly fun little build. Despite its small size, it packs a visual punch with its bright colors and chunky tires, perfectly capturing the essence of a monster truck.

This set is perfect for younger builders and anyone looking for a quick, satisfying project. The build is straightforward and engaging, making it a great entry point into the world of LEGO vehicles. It's also perfect for anyone who loves monster trucks or wants to add to their LEGO City collection.

Skip this if you're looking for a complex or highly detailed build. While fun, it's a relatively simple set. Consider the LEGO Technic Monster Jam trucks for a more challenging experience.

⏳ Retired

The LEGO City Monster Truck set, while retired, isn't likely to become a massive investment opportunity. Its initial low price point and relatively high piece count for that price may help it retain value. The set's appeal to younger builders could create some demand in the future, but it lacks the unique elements or licensed theme that typically drive significant appreciation. However, given the rising price trend, it may be a decent hold for a small return.

⚖ Compare Similar Sets

Monster Jam Grave Digger

Compared to other LEGO City vehicles, the Monster Truck offers a unique aesthetic with its oversized tires and vibrant color scheme. While simpler than Technic models, it provides a more robust and playable design. If you prefer intricate builds, consider Technic alternatives, but for a fun, sturdy, and visually appealing vehicle, this set is a solid choice.
