📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Fire Truck 60002-1 is a quintessential piece of classic LEGO City charm. Released in 2013, this mid-sized emergency vehicle delivers the classic play experience that fans expect from the theme, featuring a functional extending ladder, hose connection, and a robust build.

This set is perfect for younger builders transitioning to city setups or nostalgic adult fans chasing childhood memories. With 209 pieces, it offers a quick and satisfying assembly that bridges the gap between junior sets and complex modular cityscapes.

Skip this if you are looking for modern, highly detailed fire apparatus with advanced pneumatic functions. At a modest scale and vintage design, it lacks the technical depth of newer Technic-infused firefighting releases.

⏳ Retired

As a retired 2013 LEGO City set, Fire Truck 60002-1 occupies a steady niche in the secondary market. While standard City emergency vehicles rarely achieve explosive investment growth like licensed themes, they retain a consistent baseline of demand from parents and nostalgic collectors looking for complete vintage sets at an affordable price point. With 209 pieces and two minifigures, the set's sealed value appreciates moderately over time, though it is primarily valued as a nostalgic display piece or a fun parts pack rather than a high-yield financial asset. Long-term appreciation remains modest, making it a better choice for builders than speculative investors.
