Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Research Glider, while not a massive set, holds some investment potential due to its age, the popularity of the Dino Island theme, and its relatively low piece count, making complete sets easier to acquire and store. The rising price trend indicates increasing demand. However, its small size and simple design mean it won't appreciate as much as larger, more complex sets. Keeping the set complete with the Pteranodon and undamaged sail pieces is crucial for maximizing its value.

Compared to other Dino Island sets, the Research Glider is a smaller, more affordable option. Sets like the T-Rex Transport (5986-1) offer a more substantial building experience and higher play value, but come at a higher price. This set is a good alternative for those looking to dip their toes into the theme without a major investment.
