Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

As a retired set from a popular theme, Adventurer - Johnny Thunder (5900-1) has decent investment potential. Its small size and relatively low piece count keep the entry cost reasonable, making it accessible to a broader range of collectors. The Johnny Thunder minifigure is a key draw, as it is the face of the Adventurers theme. However, its small size limits significant appreciation. Keeping the set sealed in box would be ideal for maximizing returns, but even used versions tend to hold value well.

Compared to larger Adventurers sets, 5900-1 is a smaller, more affordable entry point. While it lacks the complexity and display presence of sets like the Amazon Crossing (5986-1) or the Temple of Anubis (5988-1), its lower price point and iconic minifigure make it an attractive option for collectors on a budget or those new to the theme. It's a good alternative for those who want a piece of the Adventurers nostalgia without committing to a larger investment.
